1. General Information about Nha Trang
Nha Trang Is a coastal city and is the political, economic, cultural and tourist center of Khanh Hoa province. East of Nha Trang is bordered by the East Sea. The West borders Dien Khanh district. The South borders Cam Lam district. The North borders Ninh Hoa town. Nha Trang is about 1300 km from Hanoi and 430 km from Ho Chi Minh City. It is also known as a festival city: Sea Festival, Miss Universe 2008, Miss World 2010, ... Before becoming a land of Vietnam, Nha Trang belonged to Champa. The relics of Chiem people still exist in many places in Nha Trang such as Cham towers and Ponagar towers.

Ponagar tower was built in the 8th century to the 13th century during the Hindu period. This is one of the largest architectural complexes of the Cham culture in Central Vietnam. Ponagar Tower is located a peak of a hill about 50 meters above sea level.
